SACARU by Kavya and Pooja is a designer clothing label brought together by two friends from Bangalore. Kavya Bagamane, who plays the role of the creative director of the brand, is a fashion design graduate from Raffles Design Institute, Singapore. While Pooja Prasad Raghavendra, an MBA graduate from Ohio Manipal School of business, equates as the Director of the label.
Friends for most part of their lives, Kavya and Pooja had always had the thought of starting ‘something’ together floating around in their conversations. Kavya had an already established workshop which was catering to bespoke clothing for 3 years. Pooja, who had taken a sabbatical to spend time with family, was ready to get back into business. Both their planning finally fell into place when they decided to do the 15th edition of Bangalore Fashion Week, Winter/Festive 2016 last July. Since then the brand has been selling at various locations in Bangalore, Mumbai and Chennai. Both the girls share great chemistry working together as each of then handle different aspects of the business. Their love for fashion and quality clothing binds their sensibilities together.
SACARU, meaning “very beautiful”, in Sanskrit aptly describes the label and its client. The designs always have a personal touch to them with a lot of emphasis given to creating flattering silhouettes. All the embroideries are designed and made in house with a preference to handmade embroidery. Striking a balance between Indian styles, fabrics and embellishments with western techniques and appeal is the essence of the label.

As soon as I entered the store I was blown away by the interiors. Don’t even get started on the collection, I was awestruck! I wanted to buy every piece that they had in the store. Collection by Sacaru, is a Pastel delight. I’m currently a fan of peaches and pinks, admiring and buying everything in those elegant shades. So, quite obviously I fell in love with the collection. The classy pastel shades aside, the intricate details on the dresses are another reason to adore the collection. Not to forget the Two kind Ladies who own the label. They were sweet enough to provide me with everything.Looking forward to work with them again!

You shouldn’t miss out on their collection which is absolute treat to your eyes!
